Apple-cinnamon crumble recipe

The smell of apples and cinnamon filling the house is sure to help you relax at the end of the day. But the best part about this dessert is that it tastes much richer than it is, which means it won’t keep you up at night.

Ingredients

  • 2 Granny Smith apples
  • 1 cup granola
  • ⅛ cup maple syrup
  • ¼ cup apple juice
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
How to Make It
  1. Peel and core the apples, then cut them into chunks or slices. In a large bowl, combine the rest of the ingredients and then stir in the apples. Label a 1-gallon freezer bag, place it in another large bowl, and pour in the mixture. Squeeze the remaining air out of the bag and seal it. Lay the bag flat to freeze.
  2. Serving Day
  3. On serving day, pour the contents of the freezer bag into the slow cooker, cover it, and cook on low for 4 hours.
