Caesar salad recipe

Ingredients

For the Salad
  • 1 head romaine lettuce or 3 romaine hearts
  • 1 tomato
  • 1⁄2 red onion
For the Dressing
  • 1 small garlic clove
  • 1 celery stick
  • 2 tbsp cold-pressed olive oil
  • 1 tbsp pumpkin seeds
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp tamari
  • 1 tsp white-miso paste
  • 1 tsp balsamic vinegar
How to Make It
  1. Tear the lettuce leaves into large pieces. Remove the tomato stem, and cut the tomato into eight pieces. Peel the onion and slice it into thin strips.
  2. To make the dressing, peel the garlic. Cut the celery into pieces. Place all the ingredients for the dressing into a blender. Purée on the highest setting for 2–3 minutes to a make a creamy dressing.
  3. Put the romaine lettuce, tomato, and onion in a large bowl, add the salad dressing, and toss well to combine. Serve in small bowls or plates.
