Yes, you can make a moist chocolate cake in your slow cooker. Try it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1½ cup white flour
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1½ teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 cup condensed milk
  • ½ cup apple sauce
  • Dash of cayenne pepper
  • ½ cup confectioners’ sugar
How to Make It
  1. Coat the slow cooker with a non-stick spray.
  2. Combine the sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder and soda and salt in a bowl.
  3. In a second bowl, combine the eggs, milk, apple sauce, cayenne pepper and stir well.
  4. Add a cup of boiling water to the egg/milk mixture.
  5. Stir the egg mixture into the flour mixture.
  6. Add the batter to the slow cooker.
  7. Cook on low for 3 hours.
  8. Let the cake sit for 45 minutes.
  9. Dust with confectioners’ sugar
