Cornbread recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • Dash of salt
  • ¼ cup coconut oil
  • 1 cup milk or coconut milk
  • 1 beaten egg
How to Make It
  1. Combine the cornmeal, flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in a bowl.
  2. Add the coconut oil, milk and egg and stir until you have a batter.
  3. Line the slow cooker with parchment paper.
  4. Pour the batter in the slow cooker.
  5. Cook on high for 2 hours.
  6. Serve the cornbread with a bit of butter and honey while it’s still warm.
