It’s not a circus or day at the fair without a sweet cotton candy treat! Fortunately, these Cotton Candy Cone Sugar Cookies are perfect for any carnival-themed party! They’re delicious and their classic blue and pink colors really set the stage for a fun day under the big top!

  • Yield: 12 cotton candy cookies

Ingredients

  • 1⁄2 batch Buttercream Frosting
  • 2–3 drops Wilton Sky Blue coloring gel
  • 2–3 drops Wilton Pink coloring gel
  • 12 prepared sugar cookies, cut out using an ice cream cone cookie cutter
  • Rainbow sprinkles
How to Make It
  1. Take your Buttercream Frosting and divide it evenly into three separate glass bowls. Use your food coloring to color two bowls of frosting until you have one bowl each of blue, pink, and white frosting. Note that the white frosting doesn’t need any food coloring.
  2. Using a small spatula, spread white icing on the bottom cone part of the ice cream cone cookie. Sprinkle rainbow sprinkles on top of the frosting.
  3. Clean frosting off of spatula, then use it to spread pink icing and then blue icing on top of the ice cream cone cookie. Use your spatula to lightly pull up the icing to make it look fluffy like cotton candy really is!
