Dr. Pepper pork recipe


Pulled pork is the perfect thing to serve at a back-yard BBQ or any other function.  There are many things one can do with pork and the different flavors it will take on.  This recipe includes a unique ingredient for pulled pork: Dr. Pepper.  This adds a hint of sweet and savory taste to the pork.  After the first time making this recipe, it will become a favorite.

  • Yield: 4 Servings
  • Preparation Time: 10 Minutes


  • 2 lbs of pork roast
  • 1 can Dr. Pepper
  • 1 pack onion soup mix
How to Make It
  1. Place the pork into the crock pot. Then lightly spread the onion soup mix over the pork. Next pour on the Dr. Pepper. Now cook for 4-5 hours on high.
  2. Once it is finished cooking, drain any excess juice and shred the pork with a fork. Then serve on buns with BBQ sauce if desired.
