  • Yield: 24 cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 1⁄2 batch Buttercream Frosting
  • 24 Perfect Chocolate Cupcakes, or cupcakes of your choice
  • 24 Hershey’s Kisses
  • 48 candy eyes
  • 2 (10.5-ounce) bags mini marshmallows
  • 1⁄4 cup light cocoa candy melts
  • 48 mini chocolate chips
  • 12 heart sprinkles, optional
How to Make It
  1. Use a small spatula to add a thin layer of Buttercream Frosting to the tops of your prepared cupcakes; you will not use all of the icing.
  2. Take the wrappers off of the Hershey’s Kisses and place an upside-down Hershey’s Kiss on the front edge of each cupcake.
  3. Place a small amount of Buttercream Frosting on the back of the candy eyes and use it as a glue to adhere the eyes to the bottom of the Hershey’s Kiss.
  4. Place marshmallows on top of the cupcake surrounding the Hershey’s Kiss, making sure to thoroughly cover the Buttercream Frosting.
  5. Melt cocoa candy melts in a candy melting electric pot according to package instructions, or in the microwave at 30-second increments. Using a small toothpick and melted chocolate apply mini chocolate chips to the top of the Hershey’s Kiss head. Using the toothpick and melted chocolate, draw on a smile directly below the eyes.
  6. Repeat previous steps until you have 24 Sheep Cupcakes.
  7. If desired, add heart sprinkles to the top of your Hershey’s Kiss with a tiny amount of Buttercream Frosting to half of your sheep to divide them into girls and boys.
