Brie butter crepes recipe

There is nothing that says authentic French cuisine quite like these delicious crepes. Serve as a delicious breakfast or a savory dinner for you to enjoy any day of the week.

Ingredients

For the Crepes
  • 1¼ cups of all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoons of salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1¼ cups of whole milk
  • Butter, for greasing
For the Filling
  • 2 Tablespoons of butter, soft
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 2 Tablespoons of all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup of dried white wine
  • ½ cup of whole milk, extra if needed
  • 4 ounces of Brie
  • Dash of salt and white pepper
How to Make It
  1. Prepare the crepes. In a bowl, add in the all-purpose flour, dash of salt, beaten egg and whole milk. Whisk until smooth in consistency.
  2. In a skillet set over medium to high heat, grease with the butter. Add ¼ cup of the crepe batter. Swirl the skillet around to coat the bottom with the batter. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Flip. Continue to cook for 1 minute or until gold. Remove and transfer onto a plate. Repeat and set the crepes aside.
  3. Prepare the filling. In a saucepan set over medium heat, add in the soft butter and minced garlic. Cook for 1 minute. Add in the all-purpose flour. Whisk until smooth in consistency. Continue to cook for an additional minute.
  4. Add in the dried white wine and whole milk. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until thick in consistency.
  5. Add in the brie. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until smooth in consistency. Season with a dash of salt and black pepper. Remove from heat and set aside.
  6. Drizzle the Brie sauce over each crepe. Roll tightly and place onto a serving plate with the seam side facing down. Serve with a garnish of thyme.
