Apple cinnamon tarts recipe

These tarts are just delicious! The recipe is sugar-free.

Ingredients

For the Dough
  • 1 egg
  • 8 oz (1 cup) Whole grain flour
  • 1 oz Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Honey (liquid)
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon powder
For the Stuffing
  • 3 medium apples
  • 2 tbsp Liquid honey
  • 1 tbsp Cinnamon powder
How to Make It
  1. Grate the lemon peel; keep 2 tsp. of lemon peel.
  2. Prepare the Dough
  3. Whisk egg and honey. Add oil, 1 tsp. of the lemon peel, and cinnamon. Mix all together using mixer or whisk. Add flour and mix the dough with hands.
  4. Form the dough into a ball, and place it in a bag in a freezer for 5–10 minutes. It will make the dough easier to work with.
  5. Prepare the Filling
  6. Clean apples remove the peel and stones; slice apples into thin pieces.
  7. Put the oven on preheat to 380°F.
  8. Prepare the Base
  9. Take the dough out. Roll it using a rolling pin or bottle.
  10. Cut the circles from the dough. Use a glass to achieve perfect circles easily and accurately!
  11. Place the dough in a baking tray (you can use the tray for muffins).
  12. Place 2–3 slices of apple in each tart. Pour out the honey on top, and sprinkle with cinnamon powder.
  13. Then place 2–3 more slices on a top of the first layer of apples. Pour out honey on a top and sprinkle with cinnamon powder.
  14. Place the tarts in the oven and bake for 30 minutes (380°F).
  15. When the tarts are ready, you will see the apples turn a golden color.
