Asian sesame salad recipe

Ingredients

For the Salad
  • 1 bok choy, sliced into ribbons
  • Chinese cabbage or Savoy cabbage, leaves torn
  • Handful of bean sprouts
  • Handful of snow peas, sliced on diagonal
  • Handful of watercress
  • 1 medium carrot, peeled and grated
  • 1 scallion, sliced on the diagonal
  • Handful of fresh cilantro, chopped
For the Dressing
  • 1 teaspoon palm sugar
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • ½ tablespoon Thai fish sauce
  • 1 lime juice
  • 1 red chile, finely sliced (optional)
  • 10 cashews, coarsely chopped, and 3 teaspoons sesame seeds, toasted, for serving
How to Make It
  1. Assemble the salad ingredients, toss with the combined dressing ingredients, and serve topped with cashews, sesame seeds, and fresh chile, if desired.
